Can I sample your cakes?

Absolutely, we welcome complimentary cake tasting appointments. Please call as late as 1-2 weeks in advance from the date you would like the appointment, time slots do go fast. We suggest making this appointment well in advance from your event date. If you don’t have time for an appointment just yet, we usually have a few pre-cut boxes of cake samples ready to pick up on a daily basis with some of the more popular flavors, please just call to confirm. We can occassionally accomodate a walk-in meeting, but can’t always guarantee that a designer will be able to sit down with you.

How much advance notice is required to place an order?

In order to ensure availability, it is advised that you place your order as soon as you know you know want it. It is never to early to book for your event date. We do require 14 days advance notice on most orders.

What should I bring with me on a cake tasting?

Bring color samples, magazine cut outs, sketches, invitations and other items that will help create your one of a kind creation. Feel free to bring 1-2 others with you. Appointments can range from 20-60 minutes.

Do you have pictures of cakes you have done?

Yes, we have many albums full of pictures that we have created over the years. FLICKR is a great way to sort through all our albums.

Do you deliver?

We certainly do. For some designs we stongly recommend delivery if set up is involved. Delivery charges depend on destination distance.

What is better: Fondant or Buttercream?

Both have their advantages. It’s a matter of preference. We work well with both types of finishes. Not all filling types are appropriate for fondant cakes though.

Do I have to provide you with flowers for my wedding cake?

You may, but we can certainly provide those for you. It is best that the cake designer complete the look of her masterpiece. We assume NO responsibility when someone else touches OUR cake. Why is it so personal…because we spend many hours working on our cakes…it’s super personal.

Have you ever been on TV?

We recently filmed for an episode of Fabulous Cakes that will air on TLC in May 23rd at 9 p.m. We made a huge, over the top sculpted cake. It was so much fun You can view the clip here
